New to pottery? Start here. This four-week intensive introduces you to Standard Ceramics and covers the fundamentals you need to work confidently in clay.
Learn hand-building techniques (pinch, coil, and slab), then move to the wheel to practice centering, pulling cylinders, and basic forms. We'll cover studio safety, tool use, clay preparation, trimming, and surface decoration. By the end, you'll understand the full clay-to-glaze process.

Wheel in One
Want to try the pottery wheel? This intensive single-session class gives you a comprehensive introduction to wheel throwing in one focused experience.
Learn centering, opening, and pulling walls to create basic forms like bowls and cylinders. We'll cover wheel basics, clay preparation, and proper technique in a hands-on environment with plenty of individual guidance. Leave with a solid understanding of the throwing process and your own handmade pieces.

Beginning Wheel
